At present at least 2.2 billion people around the world have a vision impairment, of whom at least 1 billion have a vision impairment that could have been prevented or is yet to be addressed. ref WHO website.

In 2013 the number of people (aged 40-80 years) with glaucoma worldwide was estimated to be 64.3 million, increasing to 76.0 million in 2020 and 111.8 million in 2040 . ref WHO website

Eyebus and Home ORPEA Beaulieu in Vilvoorde, arranging during de world glaucoma week for free oftalmologic exams including auto-refraction, measurement of intra-occulaire prerssure with non-mydriatic camera. Measuring visual acuity for far and near, slit lamp biomicroscopy, fundus photography with non-mydriatic camera and optic coherent tomography.

Eyebus assess the availibility of eye care services, we go tot the patient, not the patient come tot the dokter. which is often difficult to organise in Homes.

Provide high-quality and affordable eye care services in Home Beaulieu with high quality instruments.Inform peaple about eyedisease prevention and care. Educate about importance of regular eye exams and Sensiblise them.
