Riding To Spread Glaucoma Awareness
In an inspiring effort to combat glaucoma, a dedicated motorbike rider, Samuel Mbeche and his friend, recently embarked on a challenging journey from Nairobi to Kwale Eye Centre, a distance of over 500kms, to raise awareness about Glaucoma.
The rider endured the long distance and rough weather to deliver a powerful message: regular eye check-ups can save sight. Along the way, he stopped at towns and shopping centres, engaging locals with stories and eye health talks. His mission was to encourage people to come for screenings and treatment.
Upon arriving at Kwale Eye Centre, he was greeted by our team who applauded his efforts. The ride not only highlighted the importance of eye health but also showcased the power of individual action in driving community change.
