A screening activity will take place at Parque Municipal at Belo Horizonte on next Sunday.

Glaucoma specialists from Centro Oftalmologico de Minas Gerais Hospital will participate on the

activity on this central bustling venue.

Centro Oftalmologico de Minas Gerais (the biggest private eye hospital in the city) will provide 3 slits lamps, a non contact tonometer and a number of people to provide high quality assistance to those involved on this awareness campaign.

Radio and local TV channels were contacted to mobilize the populatuion who will look for eye exams. The focus of the activity will be people over 40´s, afro descendant and those with known family history of glaucoma.

The organizers expect around 500 people to have their eyes checked.
