This year the Lebanese Ophthalmological Society (LOS) will be coordinating several screening and educational events that will be run at clinics and medical centers all over Lebanon. Every center will be at liberty of choosing the particular activity or event, whether free screening campaigns, lectures, or distribution of patient educational material. Some glaucoma specialists will be on local television stations to explain the purpose behind the WGW. Allergan has kindly offered to help coordinate the activities, and will distribute posters and pamphlets to all centers that are interested. Green ribbons will also be distributed through Allergan, to be worn throughout the week by all ophthalmologists and paramedical personnel. We look forward to a very fruitful outcome this year.
