An awareness lecture on the topic, Glaucoma vision loss and Road safety, was delivered by Dr Besongngem Akotanchi and members of the Glaucoma Unit, of University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, to the staff of The Federal Roadsafety Corp, Cross River State command, as part of the activities marking the 2022 WGW. During the event, over 300 participants present were screened for glaucoma and more than 10 were diagnosed as Glaucoma suspects, and were referred to the teaching hospital for further investigations and management.
