Global Inclusivity Initiative: 3rd Glaucoma Awareness Run by Visually Impaired
‘World Glaucoma Week’ March 12-18, 2023; Run or walk anywhere as a Guide to a Visually Impaired. In 2022 around 3000 Visually Impaired & their Guides (family or friends) from 62 countries participated, this spread Glaucoma awareness to nearly 3 lacs. It’s a virtual event & complimentary. Started as CSR in 2021 by Sukhdeep Aasht, Marathoner, Ultra Triathlete Ironman 140.6 distance.
INSTRUCTIONS: Complete 2 km of walk or run between March 12-18 within your area, with a Visually Impaired. Tag in social media using hashtag #glaucomaweek #powerofU

Sukhdeep Aasht is an Ultra Triathlete, Ironman Distance and Marathoner. He has completed numerous awareness runs for Awareness of Glaucoma since 2021. His unique initiative to collaborate the runners across the globe with the visually impaired in those countries for the awareness of Glaucoma has been appreciated and covered in more than 150 media globally. All these initiatives are complimentary and without any Sponsors. Sukhdeep has not taken any commercial gains out of these initiatives undertaken. The sole purpose is to spread awareness of Glaucoma. Early detection helps prevent blindness, as Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness.
