Free Webinar – Creating a Virtual Reality App for Patient Education, Treatment Adherence & Quality of Life
The lecture is part of Glaucoma Research Society of Canada’s Annual Meeting for Supporters. The meeting features a lecture presented annually by one of the Society’s grant recipients of the year. This year, Dr. Enitan Sogbesan will talk about his research project, Creating a Virtual Reality App for Patient Education, Treatment Adherence & Quality of Life.
The application (app) uses virtual reality goggles to mimic what a glaucoma patient sees as vision deteriorates. Dr. Sogbesan hopes his app will encourage new patients to stay on track with their daily medication regime. He expects it will also build empathy among caregivers and medical providers for what glaucoma patients experience. Following his lecture, Dr. Sogbesan will be joined by some
of Canada’s leading glaucoma specialists to answer your questions live!
Dr. Sogbesan, MBBS, MSc, FRCSC, is the Postgraduate Ophthalmology Residency Program Director and an Associate Professor at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He has international experience and his research papers have appeared in publications from Nigeria, Cambodia, Thailand, UK, USA, and Canada.
We are thrilled to have such an internationally renowned glaucoma expert deliver this lecture and hope that you can join us!
