In conjunction with World Glaucoma Week in March 2025, the Department of Ophthalmology at PPUM organized a series of events aimed at raising awareness about glaucoma, a leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide. As part of our commitment to public health, we hosted a public screening event which attracted 102 participants and an in-house screening for a whole week where we successfully screened a total of 368 individuals. To further promote the importance of eye health, we also organized a charity run, which brought together participants from all walks of life. The week proved to be a fruitful and eye-opening experience, highlighting the importance of early detection and the power of community engagement in combating glaucoma.
