We are launching an awareness campaign focused on the importance of early detection and treatment of glaucoma. Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness worldwide, and yet many people are unaware of their risk until significant vision loss has already occurred. Our goal is to educate the public about the importance of early detection to prevent permanent damage and vision loss.
This campaign will feature a variety of activities throughout the week, including:
• Social Media Awareness Posts: Daily posts across our social media channels with facts about glaucoma, the risk factors, and how regular eye exams can help detect the condition early.
• Educational Infographics & Videos: Easy-to-understand visual content explaining the importance of early glaucoma screening, treatment options, and how it affects eye health.
We will also be collaborating with local healthcare providers to promote eye exams, especially for individuals at higher risk, such as those over 60, those with a family history of glaucoma, and people with health conditions like diabetes. Our campaign will include clear calls to action, such as encouraging followers to book an eye exam or visit an optometrist.
By participating in this campaign, we aim to raise awareness, promote early screening, and ultimately help prevent avoidable vision loss.
