Awareness Drive

Optipharm Eye Centre SVG Beating Invisible Glaucoma through Education

On Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th March 2016 Optipharm Eye Centre St. Vincent held a public awareness drive to observe World Glaucoma Week celebrated 6th – 12th March 2016 under the theme ‘Beat Invisible Glaucoma’. This activity was done as a part of Optipharm Eye Centre’s One Good Deed program seeking to educate the public on the ‘Silent thief of Sight.’  Brochures and leaflets with vital information on glaucoma and posters showing the development and effects of glaucoma were distributed to over 100 people. Free vision screening and blood pressure testing were also done. The Public was thankful for this activity which allowed them to learn more about glaucoma and our services to help prevent blindness. Optipharm Eye Centre headed by Dr. Benet Henry was pleased to continue to offer free screenings during Glaucoma week and educate the public on the importance of preventative eye care.  We are committed to doing our part in keeping your Eyes, Healthy.
