Ecuador\’s Green-Illuminated Landmarks.

The world unites in World Glaucoma Week to raise awareness about the need to prevent blindness due to Glaucoma. This year, in Ecuador, as part of the activities, we will illuminate two important monuments with a green light: The Middle of the World, which is latitude 0 on our planet where the hemispheres meet, and that of the Virgin of Quito at Panecillo Hill, the tallest aluminum statue in the world which onlookers the city of Quito.
These two icons will light up in green to demonstrate solidarity with the global community in this fight.
Together, let’s light up the way to a glaucoma-free world.
