Celebrating WGW at the lighted-in-green Middle of the World Monument in Quito.

The Middle of the World is an iconic landmark situated in Quito. This monument marks where the Equator Line divides the Earth into the Northern and Southern hemispheres.
It represents a point of pride and identity, highlighting Ecuador’s unique position as the only country in the world through which the equator passes.
As we commemorate World Glaucoma Week, let us draw inspiration from the monument to the Equator in Quito and its message of unity and awareness. By coming together to promote eye health and support those affected by glaucoma, we take a step towards a brighter, clearer future for all.
