The activities will be held at the Pampulha Campus ofFederal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), the “Espaço do Conhecimento” of UFMG and the Liberdade squares in Belo Horizonte. The activities will involve easy language for the general public, from children to the elderly, who are among the population most at risk of developing the disease. Professors, undergraduate students, graduate students and physicians will be responsible for the development of the activities. The activities will involve the use of exhibition materials such as panels, three-dimensional models of the eye, retina and cells, leaflets, audiovisual and multimedia resources, games and tests. Lectures and / or debates on the subject will be given by professors and / or health professionals.

We will provide participants with the opportunity to know, in a synthetic way, some aspects of vision functioning, what is glaucoma, what are its risk factors and the importance of performing tests for the early diagnosis of the disease. In addition, we will show the latest advances and discoveries in science performed at the UFMG about glaucoma.
