Rotary Avoidable Blindness Seminar 2017
By 2020, the number of people with glaucoma, the second leading cause of blindness after cataracts worldwide, is expected to soar to 76 million globally. There is no cure for glaucoma. But there is hope with prevention, if the disease is diagnosed and treated early.
Come to Rotary Avoidance Blindness Seminar to discover the pathways to prevention against blindness from medical experts in eye health Dr Gerard Nah, Dr Rupesh Agarawal, Dr Low Cze Hong and Dr Benjamin Chang. Let occupational therapist Chen Xuanyu show you the pathways to recovery for patients with low vision through rehabilitation.
This event is organised by Rotary e-Club of 3310 as part of World Speech Day Singapore and is held in observance of World Glaucoma Week 2017 from 12 to 18 March 2017.
Be inspired too by the message of hope in Gift of Sight Nepal, the club’s leading project to promote better eye-health to the people of Nepal with a one-time donation of SGD150. Rotary e-Club 3310 aims to raise up to USD150,000 to cover 1,000 Cataract eye surgeries and 10,000 pairs of sunglasses in Hetauda, Nepal.
